I'm in pieces it seems like peace is the only thing I'll never know

So I keep having dreams about being pregnant, its incredibly weird. Apparently it means that there'll be a new birth/idea/thing so...this inspired me to look at the designer who made a dress which Dannii Minogue wore whilst she was pregnant. This designer is Lisa Ho, although she uses a lot of black which I'm usually not a fan of, I quite like the designs with all the shapes and textures she uses. Of course I've put pictures on here that have colour though, because it would be boring otherwise. I quite like this trend with the computer/CGI/graphic printing on dresses etc. I think its fresh. I know fashion goes in circles, but this is new which is refreshing (apologies for the use of fresh x2). I've not posted about the Christopher Kane mushroom cloud tops/dresses- I'm sure you know of them- but that's the kind of cool new thing I'm talking about. The top with the kind of translucent material in it (i know it has a name, i've just forgotten it) is quite like a top I have, which I really love, but its too warm to wear at the moment, although its 10 degrees less here than it was when I was in the States.

I'm not so sure about the use of leggings with the outfits, it seems a bit odd for autumn/winter, but as you like, I guess.

Lovelovelove the striped jacket with the blue shell-like dress, in words it seems like it wouldn't work, but its just the kind of thing I would wear, because I'm a bit odd with my attire.

Lisa Ho seems to really like feathers, I've actually only added one outfit with feathers on here because I'm not a massive fan, nevertheless I think it looks nice on the first dress, colours fit well with the texture and trends.

OOHH and yeah, college has finished for the year, YESSS, I'm going away again on friday too :)

When I walk on the scene, ya'll know me

I returned from NYC and PHL yesterday, early in the morning, I'm still jetlagged , but I thought I'd post anyway, sorry for any horrendous mistakes in spelling, grammar etc. , but tiredness is not becoming to my brain. Yang Du is an oversize knitwear designer and I love it. If I was skinny I would definitely be wearing her creations. They're so cute and interesting. I also love the colour of the female models hair. Her website is nigh-on impossible to get into (or maybe it is just because i'm tired) Although the colours aren't THE brightest, they really stand out in contrast to each other. The geometric patterns fit well with what I've been seeing for A/W, its so hard to imagine wearing jumpers at the moment though, as in NY & Philly it has been 35+ degrees C (105 degrees F I'm told) and 35% humidity, (which really helped my hair ha)

I'm going to be honest here, I don't really like Macy's. I thought it was going to be amazing and I was disappointed by the fashion; the cuts weren't flattering, the patterns weren't cute, I was confused. Nonetheless, I found a sweeet necklace- Alice in Wonderland style so all is good. I actually started watching Alice in Wonderland on the plane to the US, but I got bored after about 20 minutes, its not all its hyped up to be is it?

All the right moves in all the right places

YES MY FRIENDS, Newgen is back and with some very cool new designers. They may be even too cool for me, but I'll try to do them justice. So lets get started, Felicity Brown, a designer from my home-town, has created these beautiful dresses, not so ready-to-wear, but I can see them being worn at red carpet events. The dip dyed ends of fabric look like they're about to drop off the ends of the dress, (in a good way) like icicles, or stalactites, (hope that's spelt right). The layering is very interesting because of how the layers are draped it seems like a weaving on some of the dresses. Whatever it is called, its heavily artistic and very interesting to look at. These are some of my favourites, you can see more by looking at the London Fashion Week Website . Her designs are some of the first A/W '10 designs I've liked, I've been in a fussy mood recently, hence the lack of posts because I don't want to write about things that I don't really like.

What's weird though is that Felicity Brown's website has completely different clothes on from the catwalk collection. On the website, the clothes are totally ready-to-wear, as in I could quite happily snap up one of the dresses and throw it over a pair of black tights with my brogues.

Blurring, whirring, tapping, cracking

Apologies, once again my laptop has been having issues- the plug wires broke and I ran my battery out, but thankfully Mr. eBay came to my rescue and I'm back online. I've been revising now for about 6 hours on & off so I thought now's time for a pause. I've been on the search for khaki trousers/skirts recently, I have to have 3 pairs of these in order to go on this course I'm going to, (I know it sounds strange) , but at least, I thought to myself, khaki (or utility) is in this season, so there's a lot of it in store. I have now bought one pair of trousers- just above ankle which I'll wear with my brogues and a skirt which is really cute, with a bow on the front.

If I were rich though, these are what I would have gone for rather than H&M and New Look's best.

Satin khaki trousers by Stella McCartney would prove chic and cool during days walking around.

All Saints turned up chinos- although not-so-khaki- I thought I could get away with it, scruffy look to it, the kind of trousers you could imagine sitting in a park in.

Balmain just rocked the 'utility' trend- although pockets on the thigh area wouldn't be a good look for my legs I love the whole look put together, the torn tee and leather looking blazer.

Hope life is good for you, today's been weird, just as I was starting to think arhgjjjjjjj screw you revision, I got a phone call about what I'm doing this summer and I felt inspired. Life can be cool like that sometimes.

There's been a lot on my mind recently, but there's one thing that for about 4/5 years I've been thinking about- and I recognise that this is completely unrelated to the usual fashion I write about- human trafficking. Conservative estimates put the figure of human slaves at around 27 million; CONSERVATIVE. I've given money to organisations like stop the traffik, for more information. They're all about publicising the issue, informing people and I just want to help somehow. I'm young, but that doesn't mean I can't make a difference, right? There are so many women, young, like me, that have to go through such horrific pain emotionally and physically. They dis-attach themselves from their bodies, just to be able to survive. I'm going through exams at the moment, and every now and then I get stressed, but then I remember, that's nothing. Some of you may know that its election day in the UK today. I was about to paint my nails blue, but then realised people might think I was supporting the conservatives through this movement, although I can't vote anyway, I didn't want to upset anybody especially as I live very near to a very liberal democrat area. So I decided to go with grey, a colour that I don't think any political party is represented by, unless they're some small group that has only just been created for this election :S. So where's the fashion://? It's here; blue, red and yellow. The colours of the three main parties, although at the debates Nick Clegg (yellow/lib dem) was wearing an orange tie, which disappointed me, I was hoping to see a flash of yellow in the middle. Yeah, I've been to Jupiter

It has been a long time since I have last posted. I have been ever so busy, and also got stranded abroad due to a volcano deciding to blow. Stuck on holiday for an extra week doesn't seem so bad, but when you have major exams coming up it puts a bit of a downer on the whole experience. However, I'm back now and did some shopping yesterday and this is what this post is going to be about- shoes. I bought a pair of brogues which are gorgeous, I've been looking for a pair for months now, I saw this white pair in topshop, but they didn't have them in my size so I kept looking. The brown pair from asos.com are rather like mine, but more expensive- seeing as mine are from TKMaxx. The Swarovski crystal studded pair are by Melissa, not really my taste- bit too sparkly, but nonetheless quite eye catching especially with the patent gloss. I really like the lilac Carvela brogues, they're really girly and sweet compared to most brogues. I can't find a picture of my shoes on the internet and my cable has temporarily displaced itself so I can't upload a picture :( I apologise for the layout, I really haven't got a hang of this yet. All I wonder is if I'm still going to like them next year, because I know fashion changes quickly, but some things stay in longer and I really hope these do because they're so comfy. I'll wear them anyway, just don't really want too many strange looks.
