You only get one shot, so make it count

Although it is still chilly outside, the joys of spring and summer fashion has past and we look ahead to autumn/winter 2010. I'm rather saddened by the lack of colour in the autumn/winter collections that I've seen from London Fashion Week so far. However, I noticed Osman's collection, although focusing on darker elements, many pieces were highlighted with flashes of colour. I really like the suit-look, an edgier look than the blazers I'm wearing at the moment, there's something appealingapart the sharp look. Perhaps it's still to do with the anti-chav inside many of us, where I live the preppy look is rising as a result of this. A lot of the designers are going for the 'red carpet' look, which not many of us get to grace, so I'll be interested as to how this is incorporated into high street looks. I'm not so sure of the large-thighed trousers, (I'm sorry I don't know the correct term yet) they remind me of the fertility look that Malvin Vein did the week he was eliminated from Project Runway. :(
Thoughts on Osman's collection and/or London Fashion week's blackness?
